If you love folk music as much as you love food, you really should consider heading to the Food And Folk Festival in Sussex this spring.
Being held at Weald And Downland Open Air Museum, the Food and Folk Festival brings together all of the best that the South East has to offer including plants, books, crafts and produce and combines it with storytelling, dancing and traditional folk music. This all makes for a very unique and popular event.
On the food side of things, there is always a celebrity chef or prominent name in the food world in attendance to give live demonstrations. Even when it isn’t a big name at the helm, the workshops and cooking demonstrations will ensure that you come away from it with various tips and recipes that will help to take your cooking to the next level. If you were stuck for cooking ideas when you first arrived, you won’t be at the end of the event.
On the folk side of things, there will be puppet shows, musical guests and .so much more. Live music has and always will have an important place and at a family event of fresh food and drink from some of the region’s best.
Perhaps you enjoyed Wolf Hall or wanted to discover for yourself what it was like living at the same time our ancestors. Whatever your reason for going to the Food And Folk Festival, you are bound to have a good time and you will not regret your decision.
