Stamford Food and Drink Festival is set in the town of Stamford one of the most beautiful and oldest towns in England. There have been festivals here going back hundreds of years. There was a bull racing festival dating back to the 1680’s where a bull was run from local meadows (where you will find the festival these days) into town. It was then butchered and enjoyed by the locals at the time.

This years festival will have a wide array of local delicacies as well as produce from further afield. This year Stamford Food and Drink Festival is going for a global feel with foods from around the world as well as local produce.  Discover artisan breads and meats, a real culinary extravaganza. The will be stall holders selling street food and of course there will be plenty of wines, beers and ciders to enjoy too.

Of course, no food festival would be complete without live music and so you can rely on Stamford Food and Drink Festival to keep you entertained all day long. It’s not just the adults that are kept entertained; the children will have activities and shows to keep them amused too.

There will be face-painting, inflatables as well as activities to get the children involved and interested in the preparation and cooking of food. You will find some cooking demonstrations and may even be allowed to have a try yourself!
