St Albans is home to one of the oldest regular markets in the UK dating back to the 9th century! (impressive). This year they are holding a traditional German Christmas market for all to enjoy. The market will be part of a winter wonderland coming to the city for the festive season. The winter wonderland will include an ice bar, live entertainment, funfair rides, Santa’s Grotto and a traditional Christmas market. 

At the Christmas market, you will be able to browse the 40 traditional wooden style chalets that will be full of hand-made gifts and local produce. The market includes arts and crafts by local artists and designers including wooden decorations, glass baubles and art prints to local craft ale, cheese, chilli and Belgian chocolate. It is the perfect place to do some extra Christmas shopping and pick up more Christmas gifts for loved ones. Look out for the stalls that will be serving hot food and festive treats including, German sausages, churros and mulled wine. St Albans Christmas Market provides some festive fun for everyone.
