If you are looking for a food festival a little different than the rest, the Scandinavian Midsummer Feast could be just what you are looking for. Organised by Chloe Avery, who used her flair for whimsy and elegance to dress the stunning Harptree Court, to create a truly magical location for this adults only event. The ultimate Scandinavian food and drink experience, a must for all lovers of the exotic and foreign.
Harptree Court is a 18th Century country home with truly spectacular grounds that provide the backdrop for this truly unique take on a traditional food and drink festival and all guests are warmly greeeted with a Scandinavian-themed cocktail of Elderflower Liqueur and Hedgerow Gin.
Throughout the day there is wine tasting, foraging, book signings, walks and cooking demonstrations. The activities during the day all lead up to a amazing coal pit fire and lamb spit-roast, with the band coming out to play as the day turns to night.
The feast doesn’t end there, but actually continues on the Sunday morning with a breakfast designed to rejuvenate you, taking inspiration again from Scandinavia. There will be a special masterclass led by Valentine Warner on how to cook to perfection a nice bit of herring.
Did we forget to tell you about the decadent hand crafted Danish cakes? The whole weekend is a luxurious and indulgent celebration of all things Scandinavian and manages to remain a very classy affair.
See this as an opportunity to chill out, learn some great new skills and spend time with some great people and great food.
