If you are a lover of all things related to crafting and high-quality homemade food, the Rothbury Food And Craft Festival might be the perfect event for you. And it seems that over the last few years, since its inception, people have agreed. What started with just 20 stalls as a family run event, has soared in popularity with more recent events playing host to more than 60 different stalls with more than 10,000 attending.
This year’s event promises to be even bigger than previous year’s. One of the biggest draws to this event is the location, the beautifully idyllic Coquet Valley and its warm, friendly and very welcoming locals. You can just sense the pride they have in their local community and enjoy sharing that love with visitors.
So if you are looking for inspiration for your next projects or are looking for a new craft hobby to get into, and are in Northumberland for the Bank Holiday weekend, there is plenty on offer here to get your creative juices flowing.
You will have the chance to meet up and chat to local producers and experts and get tips and advice, and make great new friends with the region who share your interests. There is so much to see, do, eat and drink. The only problem is that you may come away from the event with more bags than you started the day with, as there is bound to be some great treats and crafting goodies you won’t be able to resist.
Note, please check the event website before attending. Dates can change and events can get cancelled, we can not be held responsible.
