The Nantwich Food Festival is set in the pretty village of Nantwich, arguably one of the prettiest villages in Cheshire.
There are over 200 traders, they are in two indoor gourmet market halls, and include street vendors from across the world.
There are chef demonstrations so you can brush up on your culinary skills, and get some tips and hints from the professionals. Last year there were lots of local discounts from businesses and local retailers as the whole town wants to join in the wonderful festival atmosphere. Keep your eyes peeled for some great bargains.
The opening day usually ends with an evening extravaganza which includes live music from local bands. There is street entertainment and of course, lots of great food for the festival guests to enjoy.
Food is not the only thing, there is plenty to drink as well. In fact this year there will be a mini-gin festival included so you gin lovers out there will be able to try some new gins.
The centre of Nantwich has some really exquisite buildings and architecture, including a 14th century church so it makes a wonderful backdrop for all the amazing local food, artisan producers, drinks and the music too. Park and ride schemes are in place because things can get crowded – well over 40,000 visitors are expected!
So the centre of town is reserved for happy festival goers and lots of wonderful street entertainment, rather than parked cars.
All in all it promises to be a wonderful time in the top-notch Nantwich Food and Drink Festival.
