The Mapledurham food festival takes place over May Day bank holiday and is a fun event for the whole family. The festival is full of foodie fun with plenty for visitors to browse and enjoy. Firstly, there will be market stalls full of local produce featuring some of the best food and drink from the local area. There will also be gifts and crafts sold at a number of stalls. Visitors can enjoy delicious food at the street food stalls from churros and paella to noodles and pizza, there is something for everyone. There is also a pop-up restaurant featuring vegetarian and vegan options as well as a beer competition where guests can sample a range of ales from local breweries.
To add to the festival feel, there will be a live music stage featuring local bands and artists. And there will be a number of food events for visitors to take part in including master classes and tasting sessions, BBQ theatre, cookery school and opportunities to meet expert chefs, TV presenters and industry experts who will demonstrate some of their favourite dishes.
This is a perfect family event and there will also be a number of free events for the children to enjoy including a children’s cookery school, crafts and even storytelling and an Easter egg hunt.
