For many years, the Lancaster Food And Drink Festival has been providing thousands of people a fun and relaxing way to spend the May Bank Holiday. Why should you attend this event? If you love and appreciate good food and delicious drinks, that’s why. The festival displays the best of regional and national produce, both savoury and sweet, including meat and fish, bakery products, cheeses, coffee and beer.
There are expected to be more than 50 stalls full of artisan drinks and food, either housed in gazebos or marquees. As the driving force seems to be that only the best will do when it comes to what is selected to be put on offer at the festival.
When you have done all the tasting and shopping you can bear, there is plenty of wondrous street food on offer for you to sink your teeth into from American burgers and French crepes to Spanish paella and various Indian dishes. There is so much variety to choose from that you could go on a figurative trip around the world just moving from street food vendor to vendor. To help wash down your food, there are ciders and beers that have been locally-brewed, or non-alcoholic sweet and refreshing fruit juices. You may also opt for a simple, sophisticated cup of coffee with a nice slice of cake to finish off your indulgent meal.
So if you are still unsure how you are going to spend the May Bank Holiday, give consideration the Lancaster Food And Drink Festival, held as always in the 42 acre Leisure Park.
