Homegrown Food Festival 2019

Visit the Homegrown Food Festival with plenty for the whole family to eat, drink and enjoy! This year’s festival theme will be ‘Getting Drastic on Plastic’ and will give you the chance to learn more on recycling and reduce your use of plastic. There will specific activities and events to help visitors learn more about how to reduce or reuse common plastic packaging.

Returning for another year, the festival will have its usual, top quality food and drink stalls featuring local food and drink produce. Browse, sample and purchase some quality products to take home and enjoy including Yorkshire Gin, cheese, oil, fudge, pickles and baked goods. There will also be lots of stalls serving delicious hot and cold food for you to enjoy at the festival such as ice cream, crepes, churros, pitta, curry, smoothies and hog roast. Plus plenty of opportunities to enjoy a drink or two from local ale to wine, soft drinks and tea.

As well as the great selection of food and drink, there will be lots of fun entertainment for the whole family. The food theatre will have a great line up of chefs showcasing their cooking skills where you can watch them cook up a storm and take some tips back to your own kitchen. There will also be live music featuring local bands and artists to create a fun festival atmosphere. Plus, lots of family activities including wellness workshops at the Tipi of Tranquility and a festival park.

Note, please check the event website before attending. Dates can change and events can get cancelled, we can not be held responsible.
