If you’re in the Glasgow area in June, make sure you visit the Glasgow Real Ale Festival organised by the Glasgow & West of Scotland branch of the Campaign for Real Ale. The festival is great fun for everyone and will offer hundreds of real ales, cider and foreign beer for visitors to sample, drink and enjoy.
The festival will have over 100 beers that have been brewed in Scotland as well as the rest of the UK. Real ale lovers will be able to enjoy a wide range of styles including pale ales, dark stouts and porters. Whatever your preference, there will be something for everyone to enjoy at the festival. Plus, there will be a foreign beer and real cider bar offering a great selection of local cider and beer from around the world. And if beer and cider isn’t your thing, there will also be gin, wine and soft drinks available, helping to accommodate all guests.
The Campaign for Real Ale is an organisation in the UK aiming to have good real ale, ciders and perries in pubs and clubs. The Glasgow Real Ale Festival is one of the many festivals organised by CAMRA members to help promote the organisation and what it supports.
Held in The Briggait, a beautiful Grade A listed building in Glasgow’s Merchant City area, the festival is a must for real ale enthusiasts.
