Each and every year, falling somewhere between when the festivities of Christmas end and the beginning of the British summer food festival season, the Exmoor Food Fest is a welcome breath of fresh air. During February, all participating restaurants throughout Exmoor, from the eastern Dunster to western Ilfracombe, from northern Porlock to southern Dulverton, will all be offering a choice of either 2 courses for £10 or 3 courses for £15. There is a full list of participating restaurants on the official website.
Also during the month, there will be special events held in the region such as food tastings and tours, pop-up restaurants and food markets. It is a good idea to keep your eyes on the events page to stay on top of details as they are announced and released.
What can you expect from this feast for the senses? 4 full weeks of sheer culinary indulgence that will all come to a thrilling climax at the Dunster Food Festival over the last weekend of the month. At this highlight of the yearly event, in excess of 40 different street food traders and producers will gather together inside the Tithe Barn. If you have never experienced the delight to the taste buds that is Exmoor food and drink, you are in for a real treat if you attend. There are few things better to do on a cold winter’s day than tucking into a warm plate of delicious food and sinking down a pint of locally produced cider.
Note, please check the event website before attending. Dates can change and events can get cancelled, we can not be held responsible.
