With the return of Ely Food And Drink Festival each year, there has been an increase in the number of top notch chefs and renowned traders taking part including Rosemary Shrager and Brian Turner. This, of course, means there are even more food and drink on offer, not only in terms of quantity but also variety. With the Ely Cathedral overlooking the events, the Ely Food and Drink Festival is a chance for people to gather in this historic town to watch demonstrations from some of the region’s top chefs, learn something and understand just what makes Cambridgeshire food so special.
As this is a food and drink focused event, the highlight of each day will be the main food hall, which looks set to be full of popular British dishes, artisan nibbles and a very large selection of street food. Of course, you may want to learn how to recreate many of the dishes and treats you have tasted and you can do this by heading over to the Cooking Theatre.
So really with all of the above in mind and the fact that this is a free-to-enter event in a truly beautiful part of the country, you have to think more about the reasons why you are stopping yourself from going to this event. We can think of no good reason why anyone, in the Ely area would wish to change it.
Note, please check the event website before attending. Dates can change and events can get cancelled, we can not be held responsible.
