When Northern Ireland do festivals, they make sure they get done properly, and Dalriada Festival is no exception to this. With more things to do than probably humanly possible….you are sure to find something that will not just entertain you, but make your jaw drop open. Set in the imposing grounds of Glenarm Castle, with it’s beautiful gardens, every sense will be stimulated and intrigued.

Foodies!

There is food everywhere on the grounds of Glenarm Castle of all types and varieties. There is the food to go area, where you can find fast food that fills a gap. But also there is local produce from local traders, there are street traders plying their wares and on Sunday there is the fine food area with BBQ demonstrations. There are also cookery demonstrations from professional chefs for you to hone up your culinary skills.

Sports Fans

Sports fans will be in their element at Dalriada Festival. There are the Highland Games which include giant shot putt, Caber toss and shield carry, and the Strongman events including log press and Strongman sword hold, among others. Add to that the wrestling ring with IWW celebs, and you have plenty to look forward to.

Country Fair Events

There are some wonderful country events for your entertainment; this includes the Cossack Show which is a horse stunt show. There is also a sheep fashion show (I’m not kidding!) and dog shows including agility.

Kids

There will be lots for the kids to do, too – little ones will look forward to seeing the original Nickelodeon Paw Patrol! Say hello to Chase and Marshall. Older kids will enjoy the funfair and the gaming zone, plus other entertainment.

All-in-all you can expect a fun filled weekend, and for once you can guarantee that nobody will be limping along moaning that they are bored!
