Love lobster? You are going to want to visit Clovelly in September for the 10th Anniversary of the Lobster and Crab Feast.
The yearly event celebrates Clovelly’s famous lobsters and crabs, caught by local fisherman in a sustainable way.
Good food isn’t the only thing on the menu for the event, though, live folk music, chef demonstrations, and prizes are scheduled for the event.
Prizes, local food and crafts for sale will also be available.
Children will have a good time as well, with a street theatre, magicians, balloon modelling and craft activities planned through the day.
Irene, a historic ketch in the area will also be making an appearance.
And of course, beer tastings will be available for those inclined.
If that wasn’t enough, the National Lobster Hatchery, Padstow, will exhibit baby lobsters before their release into the Clovelly Bay at the end of the day as part of their information and sustainability campaign.
With everything planned, it is sure to be another amazing event, but the real treat of the is the delicious seafood options.
Attendees will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of crab and lobster dishes, available on the quay, or tables can be booked at the nearby Red Lion Harbour Restaurant, where scrumptious seafood platters are a speciality.
After the event, you can explore the quaint historic fishing village, known for its cobblestone streets, with shopping and cafes in the area.
