Arguably the biggest chilli festival in the UK, Chilli Fiesta returns! There will be hot hot hot cookery demonstrations as well as the horticultural side with plants and seeds. There is more live music than ever before, so you will be dancing as well. A real family friendly atmosphere exists here and that’s due in part to the fact you can camp here if you want to stay overnight.
Whether you want to grow your own chilli plants, or you just like eating the chilli-flavoured food, there is something for each member of the family.
There will be more than 100 stalls, offering spicy food to eat all day, plus ingredients you might use to make your home cooked food have more heat. There will be demonstrations from the top chefs in the Sussex region, they will demonstrate how to make a long list of mouth-watering recipes, and tips and hints you can use at home.
There are garden accessories on sale, if you are a gardener, and you might want to visit the glass houses too, they are found in the walled gardens and have over 250 varieties of chilli.
Helping you find your latino spirit will be Groupo Lokito, The Fontanas and Jesus Cutino and Son de Cuba, our headline acts. It’s something to dance to if you bite into something a bit too spicy! Everyone can enjoy their energetic and enthusiastic music.
There will be more entertainment announced later but there will be a funfair for kids, plus workshops and even fireworks at the Chilli Fiesta, so get yourself down to West Dean for the best event of it’s kind in the UK!
Note, please check the event website before attending. Dates can change and events can get cancelled, we can not be held responsible.
