Here at the Birchanger Sports and Social Club we welcome everybody to our annual real ale beer festival. The club has won CAMRA NW Essex club of the year many times and is current club of the year. As well as the 12 real ales at this years festival we also have a variety of ciders on offer. Our ales this year come from across the English regions, from the North East to the West country. Food will be on offer throughout the weekend and the club has a full bar within the club house. We also have live music on stage both Friday and Saturday night. Local band “Main Offender” is on Friday at 9pm and “Retro” will be live on stage at 9pm on Saturday. During the day we will also have Glastonbury Festival live on two big screens within the club.

We also have a new chef who has designed a brand new menu which will be featured during the weekend before a full launch in July. The club is only a few miles from Stansted airport and is serviced Monday to Saturday by the number 7a bus from the airport or from Bishops Stortford interchange, either of which is serviced by main line rail Greater Anglia service from London Liverpool Street.
