Back for another year, only this time the award-winning Ballantrae Food Festival will be a two-day event packed full of top quality food and drink. Foodies can discover the amazing offering of food and drink produce as well as lots of street food. The festival is set in a large and two smaller marquees which have beautiful sea views for visitors to enjoy, with a backdrop of iconic Ailsa Craig.
Saturday 8th June is World Gin Day and Ballantrae will be celebrating with a Gin Festival within the main Festival for the weekend. Not to leave out the non-gin drinkers there will be a selection of wine, regionally produced craft beers as well as and speciality teas and coffees. Some of the businesses exhibiting their drink produce include; Hendricks Gin, Crafty Distillery, Ethical Ales, The Whiskey Experience, Five Kingdoms Ale, Glenapp Castle and Linton & Co.
The main marquee is where you will find plenty of street food serving up tasty food for you to enjoy at the festival including pizza, hog roasts, curry and sweet treats.
Browse, sample and shop your way around the food and drink stalls where there will be a range of local produce. From chocolates and cheese to jams, beer and baked goods, there is plenty for you to purchase to take home or enjoy on site. Expect to see some of the best local businesses selling their produce including Co Co Company, Coulters Catering, Threapwood Fayre, Gelateria Italiana and Treats Darling to name just a few.
