Held in the picturesque town of Bakewell, the Bakewell Food Festival promises to be a real celebration of locally sourced produce, tasty dishes and delicious drinks that will get all who attend in the mood for summer.  What can you expect from this event?  There will be more than 70 different stalls that will be erected throughout the town, with a real focus on the best that Derbyshire has to offer when it comes to food and drink.

As this is a family event, there will be be pony and donkey rides and many other fun activities to keep your children entertained. James McKay will even be here with his owls that featured in Harry Potter! Rachels Magical Entertainment will also be at the eventwith a number of popular Disney Characters for the children to enjoy.

The town’s historic buildings such as the church and the Old House Museum will be fully opening their doors and across the town, there will be other venues hosting craft and gift fairs.  If that wasn’t enough, the monthly farmers’ market in Bakewell will be held on the Saturday of the event giving you even more, choice for not only sampling what Bakewell is all about but getting a real taste for the good produce, food and drink that is available.  Just to add the cherry on the cake, Bakewell’s monthly farmers’ market will be held on
