The Bowood House Food Festival is a Great British Food Festival which celebrates Great British food. The festival is set in the beautiful grounds of Bowood House and is the ideal family day out. For families with young children, all adults or just couples, there is something for everyone at this food festival. The artisan market offers guests a chance to browse and sample some of the local produce as well as buying whatever they fancy taking home with them. Some of the stalls include local bakers, chocolates, chutneys, cheeses and olives that are from local and national producers. The hot food stalls offer plenty of street food options for guests to indulge in such as juicy hand-crafted burgers, spicy curries, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes, hot tea and coffee and alcoholic beverages.
As the Bowood House Food Festival, there is a wide range of entertainment. From chef demonstrations, live music, eating competitions, cooking masterclasses and competitions, activities for children, artisan talks and a baking stage. With the popularity of Great British Bake Off, this food festival takes advantage of this by offering visitors a chance to watch bakers on the baking stage as well as taking part in the ‘cake off’. The kid’s activities include cirrus skills workshop, food Olympics and cookery classes to keep the little ones entertained. There is something for everyone at this food festival and will make a fun-filled family day out.
