Step into the exotic and fascinating world of gingerbread and spices at the U.K.’s only four day festival dedicated to all things ginger! Visitors can enjoy a fascinating journey over four days and nights experiencing everything from the oldest gingerbread in the country dunked into Port, to a spice trail exploring the town. Celebrating the culinary heritage of a town famous for gingerbread and spices, visitors can enjoy many fringe events such as a Gin and Jazz Evening exploring Gin and Spice; a live jazz music concert, pop-up restaurants, foraging walks, comedy, ginger inspired competitions & a vibrant and spicy street market late September in the centre of Market Drayton.
This will include food tastings, spicy beer, cookery demos, live music plus educational outreach about seasonal and local food.
Whilst the spicy street market is free, visitors should expect to pay for some events taking place in the evening and at private venues in the town. Booking ahead for these private events is essential.
The event takes place during British Food Fortnight!
Note, please check the event website before attending. Dates can change and events can get cancelled, we can not be held responsible.
