The Independent Manchester Beer Convention set for the October this year, is one of the most highly anticipated events in the beer world and this year’s event is poised to be one of their best.
The convention is set to be once again held in the Victoria Baths and will bring together some of the most forward-thinking breweries from across the world for a look into the world of craft brewing.
The historic Victoria Baths opened in 1906 and features an amazing assortment of stained glass and glazed tiles and once housed Turkish Baths and Edwardian Swimming Pools.
Making its appearance for the second time at IMBC is the Thirsty Games, where attendees will vote for their favourite brew from a selection chosen by IMBC.
Last year’s winner, Fiveclouds, a small gypsy brewery in Macclesfield, Cheshire, has recently spoke about their experience at IMBC and are almost certain to return.
And beer won’t be the only thing for attendees to enjoy. Food vendors, live music and cider will also be available along with pop-ups, random tastings that will occur throughout the convention at the brewery bars.
Details for bands and vendors are still being finalised, but if previous events are any indication, there will be some amazing choices for music and food lovers alike.
While many of the details for this year’s convention are still being planned, attendees from previous years have given IMBC rave reviews and if you love craft beer, you should prepare for this epic gathering of some of the best brewers in the world.
