From the 1700s onwards the Denbigh and Flint County Show has been a yearly event in one form or another. It’s grown in size and popularity and so now has an impressive history. So don’t be surprised when you find great entertainment combined with some amazing market browsing opportunities.
First of all there are over 200 trade stalls. These appeal to foodies and non-foodies alike with everything from home made fudge and pies to real ales. You will find craft stalls with leather, handicrafts, local artwork, knitting and crochet items. There are also tractors, animal feed, machinery and plants too.
Not just that, there are stalls with solicitors and local teachers, various charities and clubs, regional organisations who want to make themselves known and be part of this amazing show. It seems like everyone in the vicinity is here to talk about what they represent or their business, so it’s a great way to make personal relationships with other businesses in your area.
Don’t worry about missing anything though, the stalls are well laid out and easy to get around.
There will be lots of entertainment on offer, too. A funfair, floral and horticultural displays, the Cheshire Dog Display Team are all part of what makes up the fun of the show. Add to that the Chariots of Fire Carriage Team, a wide variety of animals in the livestock area means you can get up close and personal with pigs, cattle, sheep and goats. For the horse lovers amongst us there are nine rings of equestrian and horse shows.
Truly something for everyone then; you can see why this is one of the most popular shows in Wales.
Note, please check the event website before attending. Dates can change and events can get cancelled, we can not be held responsible.
