There is so much going on at The Cotswold Show and Food Festival it’s impossible to be anything but excited and intrigued. One of the main reasons to get stuck in at the Cotswold Show and Food Festival is the three huge marquees filled with 100 stalls with the Cotswolds finest foods. The cookery theatre will have live cooking demonstrations by local award winning chefs such as Nik Chappell, head chef of the 3AA rosette winning restaurant, The Slaughters Manor House, and Kuba Winkowski from The Feathered Nest Country Inn.

You may want to look at the activities before starting on the food, and you will definitely have plenty to see. There is the Savage Skills BMX Display Team showing off dare-devil stunts. Or you can cheer on the Mounted Games Association of Great Britain. There are falconry displays and working dogs demonstrations and other country pursuits, such as clay pigeon shooting and tree climbing. And so many family activities.

If you love dogs then you are really in luck. There is dog agility, terrier and lurcher pursuits, or why not enter your pooch in the Family dog show? There is also canine dressage and dancing agility dogs.

There is also ancient farm machinery to look at, and modern equivalents. You could brush up on your Polo skills or just chill out and enjoy the entertainment with lots of live music. Bring along an empty picnic hamper because you are definitely going to want to take some of the amazing food choices available home!

Bring Grandma and Grandpa, bring the kids, bring the dog! But definitely bring yourself too because this is far too good to miss out on!
