Now in it’s ninth year, Crediton Food and Drink Festival is back with a vengeance! Local food and drink is triumphantly celebrated. Visitors will be able to partake of some of the great local produce available on site. Plus, there are loads of goodies to take home to enjoy later. Not just that, they can enjoy the beautiful music, activities and demonstrations. All this and the entry is free!

On the 17th June visitors will be witness to the grand opening ceremony with a huge range of stalls. 11am starts the pork butchery demonstration by Andrew Cross. Later at 12 noon, discover how you can turn fresh garden vegetables into mouth watering salads with Nicholas Hack and Tina King. At 1pm Dan the Fish Man and The Devon Chef Tim Harris will explain local fish. Two pm means Barny Butterfield of Sandford Orchards will be showing guests how to make perfect juices and cider. Finally, don’t miss the raffle draw at 2.50pm and find out the winner of the Best in Fest award.

The setting sun doesn’t stop the fun, with food and drink on offer into the night. Live music for your entertainment can be heard between 8pm and 11pm. The Moon Jazz House Band, with local singers and musicians will be delighting us all with live jazz and jazz blues. The musicians are all there to support one another, to share ideas and knowledge and grow as both musicians and people.

Sunday you can spend buying produce from the stalls, and putting your ideas into practice! When you have got the perfect picnic together, settle down on the tables available and soak up the atmosphere and the music for the rest of the day. The final raffle draw and Best in Fest award for Sunday will be at 2.45pm.

Music will be from local acoustic artist Whittal and Green, David Treadaway, The Wee Free Men and Jess Laver. Treehouse and Stuart and Alistair Toms will be there at the event, which has been curated by Crediton Arts Centre and East Street Acoustic.
