The Budleigh Food And Drink Festival is a great free event for all the family with things to make it interesting for all ages! The idea for this festival is to encourage people to visit the beautiful town of Budleigh Salterton and enjoy everything from East Devon! Encouraging people to love buying locally! Featuring local suppliers, artisans and makers at the festival so buying locally has never been made so easy, as each and every stall at the event will display only the finest produce from East Devon, offering you the chance to sample many of them before you buy. The festival organisers feature crafts, musicians and local businesses of East Devon and hope the event gets the whole community more active in buying things locally. They are keen to support East Devon’s foodies, local businesses, musical artists and craftspeople, as the aim is to inspire the whole community and support the local economy.

The festival is run on a not for profit basis with funds raised during the year and at the event to make the project self funding, keeping the festival free to everyone who comes to visit during the day. The event is run entirely by volunteers, the event is as jam-packed as it can possibly be with a wide range of activities and events taking place over the weekend. As well as the usual food festival fare of live cooking demonstrations from chefs, there will also be food master classes which you can pre-book, a food market, entertainment for the whole family, music, craft activities for your young ones and live music too.

The fun doesn’t stop there, because as the sun goes down, the bands start to play and you will be able to dance late into the night, at the After Dark party that takes place at the Public Hall on Saturday evening.
