The yearly event, Porthleven Food Festival has been known to attract upwards of 40,000 people on previous years and looks set to continue to do so.  It’s not too difficult to see why when you think of it.  Spending a weekend in late spring in the middle of the Cornish countryside with great food, drink and music.

Along the quayside, there will be more than 150 marquees hosted by various exhibitors. On previous years there has been appearances from the likes of Skinners Brewery, The Cornish Food Box Company, The Cornish Black Bee Company, Cornish Meadow Preserves, Chocolarder as well as a selection of scrumptious street food to sink your teeth into while you enjoy the sights and sounds. There will also be cookery demonstrations at held by the chef’s theatre featuring numerous of the region’s local chefs, and perhaps a celebrity or two too.

While entry to the daytime events is completely free, if you want to attend the special After Day parties, you will need to buy a ticket. These keep the fun continues into the night, with more music and more dancing. It is sure to be one event that you won’t want to miss.
